Elections!!! Warm-up!!

With the mercury ready to explode out of the capillary, the heat, hype and the hooplah of the elections can be felt in the air. Enthusiastic speeches, Campaign tours, Colourful posters and flags, really hilarious symbols and not to miss the platoons of party people who are all over the place for the very first time in five years again!!! It feels very funny and at times angry to look at all these last minute stunts. It just reminds me the way we students study in the eleventh hour. But then, the difference is that the results of our exams will affect just us wheras the election results will affect an entire nation. Every politician now speaks about all those things our people were brooding for 4 or 5 years now and it looks like the cries of our people have just reached the sometimes-rather-most-of-the-time-deaf ears of our "leaders". And those one-time-prepared election campaign speeches that a leader reads out at different venues is the most stupidest thing I have ever seen. The speeches are broadcast live and the repeat telecast is also done countless times in their own TV channels. When one sits back and watches them one just does not find any difference at all from the previous day's speech except that the guy that stands like a statue when a prominent leader speaks, changes everyday and it is supposedly a different place where the campaign takes place. One webcast or a telecast would avoid so much trouble these good-for-nothing-morons give our people by obstructing traffic, mobilising crowd(including the lousy obes that raise slogans in praise of these morons), the helicopter trip, security, time, money and energy and many more. Nobody can ever say if these people are any better than criminals and rogues. For all the governance that they do and the kind of people they give responsible positions(In our country it is mostly family politics), it is really painful when we think where are we heading as a country. When are things going to change??? Seems like India was much better even in the British era. Politics based on racism(Dalit's daughter becoming the PM kinda speeches!!), Politics based on communalism(Hindutva!!!), Politics based on personal whims and fancies( Family politics, dad, brothers, sisters and wivesss!!!!)), Politics based on one-(WO)man-show( People accumulating wealth when they don't even have families/family)... Jai Ho!!!!! God help us!!!
