FREAKY BREAK

"Freaky break"

What we have seen in the past week is a frivolous erudition of almost zero significance to those who have been victimized. And I am really sorry to tell you that there are no prizes for guessing that I am referring to all the hype and hooplah about the issue of the Sri Lankan tamils and the hue and cry of many of the good for nothing people out here who do not do any quality work and the only thing they have succeeded in life is in ruining the lives of other people and the country in total. Well, it is a bit too much to say "hue and cry", saying crocodile tears would be more justified. History is created in a neighbouring country and they are doing something to solve their own problem without any external support(officially!) and they are seeking some kind of solution to a problem they have been facing for decades. Its time that even we start acting against the problems faced by our country. As long as the neighbour doesn't trouble you, it is seriously none of your business to poke your nose and get it cut just like a few of our national political figures have got recently. To cap it all, our professional educational institutions were shut down where at least a miniscule amount of nation building was taking place(hold your laughter plz!). As always the "leave", that too an indefinite one brought in smiles in the faces of many who follow the footsteps of our nose-cut political figures and went out with cricket and hockey sticks to hit either balls or otherwise whatever came their way(in reality and in mind), like buses, cars, banks, embassies, people etc. It was a different kind of holiday experience for many of our brothers from the students community(haven't heard from our busy sisters whom we are yet to dig out from their tv sets) who went to the four-walled stobe chamber and were with 24 hour police protection for their heroic record-BREAKING activities and they have followed the footsteps of the national political figures of yesteryear who went to jail in the British era, the only difference being, they knew what they were doing and our friends don't. At last, somebody from the city of wisdom saw amoe sense filed a case against the ban and the indefinite leave was called off being cut down to just one week as far as professional colleges are concerned. But, as soon as the judgement came out I started receiving forwarded messages requesting me to forward it to all and it said :

" Arts and law college students go on hunger strike to express solidarity to the Sri Lankan tamils, but what do engineering and medical college students do? Let us all wear black clothes on 9-2-09 ie on the reopening dates and protest against the ban lift"

I wonder that if people really have lost even the idea of thinking about anything that they do. I see these people as nothing more than herds of cattle that just keep grazing around and I guess they are soon going to find their way to either butcher house or slaughter house... I wish..............
